One-click installer for macOS and Windows. Get up and running in under 60 seconds.
Compatible with Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and Intel Macs
Go to the Skins gallery page, pick your favorite skin, and click Download. A .zip file will be saved to your Downloads folder.
Double-click the downloaded .zip to extract it. You'll get a folder containing macOS/ and Windows/ subfolders.
Open the extracted folder → enter the macOS/ directory.
Double-click the "Install {Skin Name}.command" file. If macOS shows a security warning, right-click the file → Open, then click "Open" again to confirm.
The installer automatically installs the skin, configures Codex, and launches it with your new look. No extra steps needed — just wait for Codex to restart.
↩️ Restore: Double-click the "Codex Dream Skin - Restore.command" file on your Desktop to instantly revert to the official Codex appearance.
💡 Tip: If double-clicking the .command file does nothing, right-click it → Open → Open. If Terminal shows 'Operation not permitted', go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → allow the blocked app. macOS Gatekeeper silently blocks downloaded scripts — this is normal and safe to override.
Compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11
Go to the Skins gallery page, pick your favorite skin, and click Download.
Right-click the downloaded .zip → Extract All.
Open the extracted folder → enter the windows/ directory.
Double-click the "Install-Windows.bat" file. A window will appear showing the installation progress. If a security prompt appears, click "More info" → "Run anyway".
The installer automatically closes Codex, installs the skin, and relaunches Codex with your new look. Desktop shortcuts are created for easy access.
↩️ Restore: Double-click the "Codex Dream Skin - Restore" shortcut on your Desktop to revert to the official Codex appearance.
💡 Tip: No PowerShell knowledge needed — the .bat file handles everything automatically. Just double-click and follow the prompts.
